St. Mary’s College of Meycauayanis a member of Acer Academy which enables us to have Acer Laboratories where all computers are powered by Intel for efficient processing and latest windows operating system to ensured security updates. We also have the latest Microsoft 365 to ensure that our students are using the latest office application from Microsoft. Our laboratories have fiber connection to make sure that our students are fully equip in engaging the digital education.
General Policies
Privilege to use SMCM Computer Laboratory is granted only to all SMCM Students, Faculty, and Non-Teaching Staff.
SMCM Computer Laboratory is used for educational purposes only. Use of Laboratory Computers for personal, instant messaging, playing any games, listening to music, watching/streaming video, surfing pornographic sites etc. is not allowed.
SMCM Computer Laboratory is used for classes and Internet research. All classes have its own schedule, Internet research and other computer works can be done during break time or when the laboratory is not in use with the permission of Computer Laboratory Coordinator or Information Technology Center Head.
Scheduled classes are given first priority to use the computer laboratory. All students who use the computer laboratory for Internet research and other computer works must leave the computer laboratory ten minutes before the classes start.
Inserting USB Flash Drive and other storage media without permission from ITC (INFORMATION TECHMOLOGY CENTER) Staff or Teacher/Instructor/Professor is not allowed.
Chewing gum, Smoking, Eating, or Drinking is not permitted inside the computer laboratory at any time.
Swapping or removing computer code or tags is not allowed.
Computer laboratory users should work discreetly or in silence.
Installation of software, downloading, changing hardware configuration or modifying computer system is prohibited.
The Information Technology Center Head /Computer Laboratory In-charge represent the school and are the first line of authority in the computer laboratory
Do not save files on local drive (drive C:), instead use network drive, personal USB Flash drive or cloud storage.
If the Computer is not working, inform any ITC Staff as soon as possible.
Students should restart the computer and put the chairs, mouse and keyboard in its proper place before leaving the computer station and computer laboratory.
All Students are not allowed to print or use printer in any computer laboratory of the school. Printing services is available at the ITC Office.
Student should not go inside computer laboratory without permission from computer teacher or any ITC staff.
